Movies galore!

Slowly, but surely, we're getting everything together to get ready to move. We discovered a problem in the process of gathering, we have A LOT of dvds. Unfortunately DVD cases are bulky and they take up a ton of space. So I've come up with a different way of storing them. All the cases are going into bins or boxes and then into storage, and we've put all the DVDs into CD holders in one big binder. That way they're all in one place and easy to access. Not the most eye appealing thing in the world but it works. Originally I had spent $20+ on a CD case from walmart but they didn't fit all of our DVDs. So I bought the CD holder pages from Walmart for $12. Each page holds 8 dvds, and the pack is capable of holding 200 DVDs/Cds.

Mission DVD storage has been deemed a success!!!! That's all for today.

New found hobby!

A while back... ok so maybe it was almost ten years back (wow that makes me feel old), I had tried blogging once before. A valiant effort but a failure nonetheless. I have a bad habit of starting projects and never finishing them. SO, maybe this will help.

Hopefully.

Anyways, I'm a college student that currently is working and paying her way to get back to college. Thought I knew what I wanted to do with my life only to discover that I had no idea. So it's back to the drawing board.

What spurred this urge to blog is that I am FINALLY getting into my own place. WITHOUT roommates, and oh is it going to be a blessing. As much as I have loved my roommates, I wanted my own kitchen and bathroom. The house is an older one that needs some love. Hopefully, with my boyfriend’s help we can get it up to par. He’s excited because it has a shop in the basement. I’m excited cause it’s pretty bare boned, given that the rental agency is cooperative, that means that I can attack it with pinterest ideas! Oh the possibilities…

Due to my pinterest addiction I’m sure I’ll have many projects up here. I try to be very artsy craftsy, my one weakness being my attention span. I will start on one project and then get distracted by another. My current one is decorating the new house and figuring out what I can do within the parameters of our lease policies. They still have a few things to do on the property so moving day isn’t for another couple weeks. That gives me planning time. And time to figure out how much I really want to spend on the house. Thrift stores, garage sales, good will, and salvation army are probably going to become my good friends.

Well that’s all for now, I’ll post again when I have more to update.

Best wishes,
M
